Burnout is not weakness. It is a signal that you have been giving without refilling. Every author will face it.
The signs: you open the Editor and feel nothing. Your chapter feels mechanical. You start avoiding your own story.
When this happens, do not force output — you will produce work you will later delete. Instead, enter Mana Recovery mode. Read two books in your genre.
Watch films with excellent pacing. Go somewhere unfamiliar and write 200 words of pure observation — not for your story, just for yourself. Return to your Codex and read your own world-building notes as if you are a new reader.
Often, the cure for burnout is remembering why the world you built is extraordinary. Rest is not a pause in your career. It is the recharge that makes the next chapter your best one..
